Rev. Dr. Cindy Witt

Stole Text

The stole I’ve chosen to include in this Stoles Project is one that I made to wear during the festival Sundays of the church year, especially the Sundays during Christmas and Easter. It bears the symbol of the resurrection, a butterfly, and reflects my hope and prayer that, once again, the church as a Body of Christ will experience a resurrection to the new life when gay and lesbian pastors will be able to live their lives as ordained clergy within the ELCA – without the fear of exclusion if and when they find a partner with whom to share their lives.
