Minister, Ordained 1952
Husband, Father, Grandfather

Contribution Story

This stole was one of the original 80 stoles that were on display on Sept. 16, 1995 when I set aside my ordination before Heartland Presbytery (see stole #1 for details).  It honors a minister who served as a Presbyterian missionary overseas for 43 years.  (He has since retired and returned to the U.S.)  This anonymous gay man and his wife of many years have remained married; she made this stole in his honor for the Shower of Stoles collection.
