Rev. Perry’s ministry and activism have taken many turns during the past 30 years, including positions on a number of boards of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered organizations. In 1978 Rev. The film examines how oppressed Two Spirit people feel when denied the right to marry in their communities. So, the passing of the marriage act protects American citizens but offers no protection for Two Spirit couples. Attention is given to those pushing for change, including some native leaders.
