The award-winning Open Hands magazine was published quarterly from 1985 to 2002 as a forum for diverse voices to explore and reflect upon issues related to LGBT concerns and Christianity. Initially published by the Reconciling Congregation Program (United Methodist), Open Hands later became an ecumenical venture with other Welcoming Church Programs. The magazine pushed boundaries providing both vision and tangible resources to animate LGBT religious movements of the time. This exhibition allows you to both browse or search the entire run of Open Hands.
