Daller's Address
Daller’s address, which received coverage in half a dozen newspapers, is worth quoting at length:
... We, as Christ’s body, are not here to celebrate the many technological feats of man, such as the Moon Service held here last summer, (of which I objected to and refused to serve at), but to use first-aid and preventative medicine to heal the wounds of society. If the heterosexual can live in organized society without having to lead a double life and having to live behind a mask to survive because of economic suppression through the screening of job applicants, etc. - then why must the homosexual? Many homosexuals live in fear most of their lives because they have not experienced and cannot feel Christ’s Love through His church because of its hang-ups. As Christ broke the vicious circle of man’s inhumanity to man with His Love by sacrificing Himself on the Cross, so to are we called as His followers to break the unjust social trends of society with our love. If we have to wait until the time we get scientific reports from psychologists and social scientists to come up with explanations for homosexual orientation (which would only be theories anyway), then we might be wasting our time and waiting forever. His love is the answer to all questions and He commands us to use it. I don’t need scientific reports!!! God’s Love, as explained by our Master - is unconditional, meaning that you give the love out whether you are going to get results from it or not. Jesus did not practice Capitalism, but commands us to love one another, and also says that “Whatsoever ye do to the least of these my brethren, ye do unto me”. He doesn’t set any conditions such as: “well - if you are homosexual then I’m not sure if you should love one another”. How can we expect to inherit His kingdom if we do not obey His commandment of love? I say, “Love or Perish”! ...
