Stole Text

We come together on this day to celebrate the ministry of one among us who

embraced the will of God,
obeyed the call of God,
receives the power of God,
reflects the peace of God.

This one is a passionate pastor.
This one is joy filled and loves life.

We present this stole to the Glory of God - and in honor of our beloved child and friend who follows a calling as Pastor in the ELCA. For the first time in our lives we are having to act anonymously, and we are deeply grieved that the church which we love and serve has put us in this position. As followers of a loving and inclusive Jesus Christ, we look forward to the time when we can openly affirm and celebrate the diversity of all humankind.
