Stole Text
“…the Holy Spirit has called me through the Gospel, enlightened me with his gifts, and sanctified and kept me in true faith…” (Luther’s Explanation to the Third Article”)
Receive this Pentecost stole.
It is April, and the liturgical church is counting the fifty days of Easter – days of trying to grasp the joy of the resurrection while waiting for the Spirit to be unleashed in us. In many ways, the church truly exists in these fifty days – we have incredible news to share, but we’re impeded by too many rules about how that news can be shared and who may share it. From the vantage point of these fifty days, this stole is dedicated to fifty individuals who have brought about my Pentecost on issues of homosexuality.
Come Holy Spirit!
