Subject

As a young man, Haywood was very active in religion, serving as Sunday school superintendent for the METHODIST and BAPTIST churches. In 1907, Haywood attended a gathering of PENTECOSTALS in Indianapolis and became part of that movement. Two years later, he founded the Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly.
