Currents of Love and Justice: An RTSA Exhibit
Currents of Love and Justice
Taken from the Rolling the Stone Away final program:
Prior to conference, many participants recorded events and talked with friends as they traveled along the road to love and justice. This exhibit creates space for participants to learn from their path and honor their own!
Copies of photographs, buttons, books, and other memorabilia meaningful to LGBTQIA persons and movements for justice are displayed.
Peruse these artifacts of love, bring your own, and be a witness to transformation!
There is also space available for participants to sit, write and digitally record reflections from their journey.
We want to capture never-before-recorded stories and hear about people, living and in memory, which have inspired currents of LGBTQIA love and justice!
The exhibit included a Memorial Wall with a timeline of LGBTQ Christian activism, as well as spaces for conference participants to write out notes to and about major figures in this area. Photographs depicting the exhibit, as well as documentation of the logistics and planning behind the exhibit itself, are provided here.
Memorial Wall
This feature provided space for a timeline at RTSA, with the names and accomplishments of a variety of individuals whose actions have made a difference in the LGBTQ+ Christian community.
