Description
The renovated façade of the Church of the Beloved Disciple at 348 West 14th Street, the congregation's permanent home from 1973 until 1983. Purchased and restored through the labor and generosity of parishioners, the building became one of the first permanently owned houses of worship established by an openly LGBTQ Christian congregation in the United States. For nearly a decade, it served as a sanctuary for worship, community, and pioneering LGBTQ religious life in New York City.
