Title

Dancers in the church 1

Description

Interpretive dancers perform before the altar during the Easter liturgy at the Church of the Beloved Disciple. Organized through contacts of John Darcy Noble, the performance integrated movement, music, and worship, reflecting the congregation's openness to contemporary artistic expression within a traditional sacramental setting. The dance embodied themes of resurrection, joy, and spiritual renewal central to the Easter celebration. The performance takes place at 348 West 14th Street.
