Description
Ophelia Hu Kinney (she/her/hers) is the wife of a fearless reformer, the daughter of loving immigrants, and the sister of a hopeful romantic. She is the Director of Communications at Reconciling Ministries Network, an organization advancing LGBTQ justice and inclusion in The United Methodist Church. She is also the Worship Coordinator at HopeGateWay in Portland. She describes herself as a garden-variety queer woman who lives with her wife in Scarborough. She blogs about leaving evangelicalism for the Christian wilderness at QueeringTheKindom.com. And because Tamara and Ophelia are Facebook buddies, Tamara is ready to brag about her friend and mention that Ophelia recently won NYC Midnight’s 100-word Microfiction Challenge with her story “Honeysuckle.” It’s a thoughtful and emotionally rich story -- which perhaps tells you something about Ophelia herself.
