About
Rev. Kit Wang is an Episcopal priest in Maine. Kit identifies as a queer, trans, Chinese-American child of God. Kit moved to New England for college, and never left, attending Yale Divinity School and eventually moving to Maine in 2004. Kit serves on the Commission on Ministry, supporting others in their call to Ministry, is part of the Leadership Team for Arise Portland (an emergent, queer affirming inter-spiritual community in Maine) and works in a brewery—not quite water into wine but certainly the journey from hops to beer is its own kind of sacred. Kit is passionate about gender justice, about expansive hospitality in the church, especially in worship, and about children, youth, and LGBTQ folks. Kit is also passionate about raising ducks, canoeing, knitting, and craft beer.
