Behind them, the Church of the Beloved Disciple's float, designed as a processional chapel, affirmed the congregation's conviction that LGBTQ Christians belonged fully within the sacramental life of the Church and brought liturgical worship into one of the nation's most visible public celebrations of gay liberation.
